Job Description Summary:

The IT Field Support Engineer will provide IT support for surrounding Xome Labs client sites.  Travel will be required to field sites to support projects, deployments and production issues.

Technical responsibilities will be primarily focused on Windows & Apple Devices, LAN, printers VOIP phones, Skype for Business, Service now and related technologies, including both software administration and hardware configuration/installation.

Roles also requires excellent communication, project planning and coordination skills.  .

This position roles up into the Systems Engineering team, not support desk, in order to facilitate daily projects and requests for Systems Engineering.

All candidates must have a reliable car for traveling to surrounding offices.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service to our customers in person and over the phone.  Customer service is the number one trait for this position
  • Provides technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware either in person or over the phone.
  • Ability to use IT ticketing software
  • Inventory control management to maintain company assets.
  • Performs day-to-day routine tasks independently
  • Migration projects may include occasional after business hours and/or extended weekend hours.
  • Maintenance and troubleshooting of video conferencing equipment

Core Requirements:

  • 2-3+ years’ experience in an IT desk side support environment
  • Knowledge of remote desktop tools required
  • PC & Mac Technician Skills - Basics, Imaging, Operating System Installation and Support
  • Software Installation and Support – MS Office, Other MS products, third party software
  • Peripheral Installation and Support – Phone, Headset, Check Scanners and Printers
  • Manages daily IT requests from business operations
  • Basic knowledge of Active Directory
  • Customer service based - An ability to be flexible and use different approaches in different situations
  • Excellent communication - Being able to convey information to other employees clearly and simply
  • Organization skills - Encompasses physical and mental organization and time management abilities
  • Multiple office locations (Flexibility) (Travel)
