The Escrow Associate is responsible for maintaining escrow accounts administered by the loan servicing group and providing escrow analysis in accordance with the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and Federal Housing Authority (FHA) guidelines.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform audit functions for Loss Draft
  • Ensure that hazard claims proceeds are disbursed to our customers in compliance with investor guidelines
  • Collaborate with team members, management, and vendors on reasons for Loss Draft exceptions and ensuring that exceptions are resolved
  • Provide oversight of functions that vendor(s) perform.
  • Assist in the completion of audit tasks for internal processes or vendor managed processes.
  • Collaborate with vendor(s) on processes and service level expectations
  • Provide quality service to internal/external customers and investors 
  • Operate efficiently within the Mr Cooper’s Operating system a key requirement of the Escrow functions.
  • Responsible for additional assignments and projects as required.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Prefer prior experience in Loss Draft, or similar financial services/call center environment, or will consider entry level with a Bachelor’s degree in a business related discipline.
  • Must have experience working in a call center environment
  • Knowledge of LSAMS a plus
  • Ability to multitask & work in a fast paced environment
  • Quick to learn new processes/flexible
  • Ability to work independently
  • Customer service focused
  • Maintains a professional image and demeanor
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Possess positive references from prior employers
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft office products
