Lenders (banks) who acquire loans from another smaller lender (correspondent) against prior price commitments the bank has made to the Correspondent.
The commitment protects the bank against pipeline risk and the correspondent against price risk. Correspondent lenders typically operate with either a bulk of flow model.
Bulk: will purchase a group of loans in a single transaction.
Flow: will purchase individual loans as they are originated. SALARIED Multi-Product SPECIALIST / LOAN OFFICER / ACCOUNT EXEC Working with more senior staff or Branch Manager, develops the knowledge and skills to solicit and originate business or lead servicing staff. With extensive supervision, structures and completes various banking transactions. Assists in negotiation of terms, and follows through to closing. May work on less complex transactions while developing knowledge base. Works within the strategies and guidelines established by senior management.
This is a first level position within an origination, sales, or relationship management function. No supervisor responsibilities. Typically have less than 3 years of experience. No officer title Limited knowledge and experience. 30% Tactical, 70% Transactional
