Job Summary:

The Post Purchase Adjustment Analyst supports business partners and customers in requests to make post purchase adjustments to loan balances and proceeds for Correspondent whole loan purchases. Adjustments may be requested that impact any part of the purchase proceeds including, but not limited to; UPB, escrow balance, interest, fees, and pricing. Adjustments may be requested prior to, and after the servicing transfer. This role works closely with Correspondent Operations, Sales, Secondary, and Mr. Cooper partners in Account Services and Treasury.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Work under the established guidelines of responding to inquiries within 1 business day. Completion of request should be within 5 business days with tails up to 10 business days for issues with extenuating circumstances.
  • Log all adjustments timely and accurately. Ensure all impacted systems and parties are updated as needed, and issues are closed out properly.
  • Update all interested parties timely and accurately. 
  • All tracking, reconciliations, support materials, and documentation should be checked for quality and integrity before distribution.
  • Support Treasury with wiring issues/requests to ensure timeliness and accuracy of funding/ warehouse clearing.    
  • Support corporate and Correspondent channel as needed.

  • Manage timing of deliverables by priority level. Manage hours to complete all deliverables by the due date. Manage priority of requests based on urgency and scope. Manage expectations of priorities and deliverable dates of all stakeholders.
  • Use rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions. Probe all fruitful sources for answers.  See hidden problems and excel at honest analysis.

Core Requirements:

  • Graduation from a 4-year college or university with major course work in a discipline related to the requirements of this position.  Will consider the equivalent combination of job experience and education that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in the mortgage industry
  • At least 2 years’ experience in mortgage servicing customer service, loan acquisitions, investor whole loan sales, correspondent purchasing, and/or comparable experience calculating schedule loan balance transfers.
  • Must be intermediate in Microsoft Excel.
