The position is responsible for the leadership, execution, and strategy og the Delegated Pre-Purchase Review team. Incumbent will be responsible for multiple teams consisting of document reviewers, data analysts, credit analysts, and compliance auditors; comprising 200+ team members on and offshore. Key focus will be operational reporting & analytics, facilitating process improvement, management of audit technology strategy and digitization – with both our technology vendors and internally at Mr. Cooper – product development implementation, management of change control, and workforce planning for the Correspondent Operations. This position requires a high degree of collaboration across business and functional areas as well as technology and credit risk.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead multiple teams to execute channel audit strategies.
  • Develop and implement process flows / policies & procedures to insure that correspondent purchased loan production meets Nationstar’s credit risk and quality guidelines as well as meeting established client SLAs.
  • Develop Delegated Correspondent audit strategic roadmap to include focus on scalability, digitization, automation, and consistency.
  • Responsible for project planning and cost benefit analysis, accountable for functional analysis and design of technology enhancements, creates and maintains project/task plans, and responsible for timely and accurate communication ensuring project goals are met.
  • Execute the planning and prioritization of business initiatives and related operational requirements.
  • Accountable for optimizing overall workforce proficiency, quality, planning, and efficiency.
  • Provide operational reporting & analytics to support day-to-day operational execution and to identify opportunities for improving quality and revenue.
  • Partners closely with Risk, IT, Secondary, Sales, and other infrastructure support as needed Implements operational and technology initiatives by applying industry best practices and staying current with industry and competitive trends including state, federal, and agency requirements.
  • Ensure process flows and policies & procedure documentation is accurate and up to date.  
  • Manages expenditures within budgeted levels while ensuring superior client service delivery.
  • Manages client loan pipeline through use of pipeline reports and other tools to meet or exceed established turn time SLAs Interacts with Senior Executives at partner financial institutions and Nationstar sales staff on complex or unique issues and problems to effectively and efficiently resolve.
  • Some systems administration responsibilities as needed.
  • All other responsibilities as assigned.
     

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduation from a 4-year college or university with major course work in a discipline related to the requirements of the position is preferred.  Will consider the equivalent combination of job experience & education that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Experience should include 7+ years experience in mortgage lending or financial services operations (preferably in correspondent or Originations operations).

  • Experience should include 3+ years’ experience as a Operations, Credit or Capital Markets leader.

  • Experience should include 3+ years’ experience as in Operations or Post-Closing.

  • A strong understanding of state, federal, and agency mortgage originations requirements.

  • Candidate should possess and demonstrate a track record of superior results in project teams.

  • Candidate should posses and demonstrate a track record of change control and operational process improvement.

  • Candidate should possess and demonstrate a knowledge base and ability to advance analytics.

  • Familiarity and knowledge of agency and government loan programs and guidelines and salability requirements.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience in MS Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio are required.

  • Strong analytical skills.
