This position is located at our headquarters in Coppell, Texas, and will report to our VP of Corporate Social Responsibility. The role is responsible for execution of research, programs, and initiatives. She/he acts as the “hub” or “command center” of the Corporate Social Responsibility team, executing strategies and participating in a variety of ESG activities.  He/she should be a flexible, creative, organized, self-starter that can anticipate the needs of the team and be the go-to person for data, presentations, and information.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Research and review ESG industry standards and establish with MRC
  • Prepare for engagements through research on issues and question formulation
  • Enhance mrcoopergroup.com web page with ESG information
  • Manages the prioritization and completion of ESG surveys and questionnaires from third parties, including investors, rating agencies, customers and others.
  • Create and maintain ESG report to be housed on the mrcoopergroup.com web page
  • Update Proxy language as needed
  • Manages and advises on the development of ESG metrics to evaluate, measure and monitor the progress and success of the company’s ESG strategy and overall alignment to stakeholder requirements and expectations
  • Engages internal ESG content owners and subject matter experts to collect and validate ESG information
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • 7+ year experience working in and strong relationships in the Sustainability space
  • Graduation from a 4-year college or university with major course work in a discipline related to the requirements of the position is preferred. A high school diploma or state accepted equivalency is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Deep ESG domain knowledge
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Detail-oriented, ability to multitask and work in fast paced environment
  • Experience engaging with public companies
  • Strong operational and analytical abilities
