Responsible for system configuration and testing of all compensation plans in SAP Callidus Cloud, through gathering and documenting business requirements. Analyze and review internal sales comp plans, processes, and policies, recommend solutions for sales credit, compensation, reporting/analytics, for calculating payments in Callidus. Ensures all audit and SOX controls are met. Identifies process improvement opportunities to manager and broader team and assists implementing these enhancements.

Job Function

  • Analyzes approved or proposed compensation plans and determines source data needs and requirements for setting up calculations in Callidus.  
  • Configures Callidus and creates test scenarios to be used for UAT to ensure compensation plans are set up and calculating correctly.
  • Documents standard operating procedures for application configuration to ensure consistency of system setup so that knowledge transfer and troubleshooting have maximum efficiency and to facilitate the training of Incentive Compensation staff
  • Answers most complex employee and manager queries through telephone or email communications by identifying the issue, researching problems as needed, troubleshooting root cause as necessary and taking corrective actions if needed to ensure accurate payroll and high customer satisfaction
  • Provides regression and other testing of system changes as needed to ensure accuracy of system maintenance and/or enhancements
  • Acts as liaison between internal customers and external vendors as needed

Job Competencies

  • Skilled in analyzing established processes and following established procedures
  • Knowledge of commission calculation processes and approval processes
  • Knowledge of the overall HR business process delivery model
  • Ability to perform configuration setup in Callidus to support new or changes to compensation plans
  • Ability to process a compensation plan from calculation through final payment amount with little to no oversight
  • Ability to prioritize work to ensure customers are satisfied and systems are up and running always
  • Ability to analyze business and technical processes and determine ways of making them more efficient
  • Ability to work effectively while maintaining high degrees of attention to detail, accuracy and poise under pressure
  • Ability to work with a collaborative work style and effectively handle employee enquires
  • Ability to maintain strictest confidence


  • Prefer a minimum of a 4-year degree 
  • Min of 5 years Callidus SAP experience
  • Min of 5 years of commissions processing or similar experience
  • Experience with system configuration of compensation plans using an incentive compensation management system required
