Mr. Cooper is looking for an Assistant Vice President, Digital Marketing to join our Marketing Originations (Direct to Consumer) Team.  Reporting to the VP of Digital, the ideal candidate will have an immediate connection to Mr. Cooper’s core values:  Challengers of Convention, Champions for our Customers, and Cheerleaders for our Team.

This candidate will be a direct response expert, data intense, and enjoy a “high-change” environment where priorities shift nimbly to adapt to business performance and market trends.  Must be a “doer” with a strong work ethic and commitment to driving revenue. The AVP will be accountable for be accountable for both working with partner agencies/vendors and the in-house marketing team to drive mortgage origination and third-party product leads.  

 

The AVP will be directly in charge of efforts to guide digital channel strategy across programmatic paid media (paid social, display media, OLV/CTV) and non-paid (website testing & optimization and AI-driven on-site web banners via a marketing automation platform). The AVP candidate should have the desire both to grow within a management role as well as also roll-up their sleeves and “do the work”. S/he understands trends in digital to deliver new capabilities to drive business and brand impact. This person has a proven ability to negotiate, influence and collaborate with other key decision makers in a complex highly cross-functional / cross product environment. S/he will be expected to manage, inspire, and grow a high-performance team and digital budget. S/he has demonstrated experience driving digital campaigns with paid media budgets with daily/weekly optimization. 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

 

  • Effectively communicate and manage Mr. Cooper products through digital communications to its borrowers, leveraging best in class technology, tools, and strategic approaches to drive business performance. 

  • Partner with other team members in the Marketing Originations group as well as teams across Mr. Cooper (creative, digital product management, IT, analytics, etc 

  • Champion the creation and development of digital marketing assets that target our borrowers at meaningful moments in their customer lifecycle to drive long-term retention and cross-sell.  

  • Supervise a team of digital SMEs, including two direct reports, across programmatic media buying, paid social innovation, and aggressive website A/B testing. Work with web development team to aggressively drive improvements in website (particularly marketing landing page) performance. 

  • Manage implementation of marketing automation and orchestration tools, and work with VP Digital Marketing to develop holistic, omnichannel digital execution strategy 

  • Actively champion for best practices in digital analytics, attribution, and reporting – partner closely with the analytics team to maintain a high standard of insightful, impactful reporting.  

  • Adhere to legal and compliance teachings and apply learnings to campaigns in such a manner the campaigns remain successful 

  • Adhere to internal findings and successfully run campaigns without repeated fails 

  • Revise and create as needed policies and procedures 

  • Actively monitor, analyze and report on competitive environment and consumer trends 

  • Develop the digital marketing strategy for new and existing products 

  • Responsible for digital vendors and maintaining relationships 

  • Work closely with originations organization to identify areas of opportunity to grow 

  • Proactively work with stakeholders and vendors to address internal and external changes to the industry 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS: 

 

  • 8+ years’ experience in digital and content marketing, delivering consumer-focused experiences online. 

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in driving sales leads and/or ecommerce revenue. 

  • Ability to translate business objectives and strategies and changing market dynamics into actionable marketing strategies to achieve pre-set objectives 

  • Experience in managing a monthly marketing budget and setting up/reporting marketing performance metrics 

  • A high level of proficiency regarding all aspects of digital media placement and creative development with dozens of monthly jobs 

  • Proven track record of deploying successful strategies and tactics that yielded significant traffic/revenue in paid and non-paid digital channels, increase conversion, etc. 

  • Be strongly data-driven but also be able to help business stakeholders keep the larger business objectives in mind. 

  • Proficiency in working with big data and technology – background in marketing research, data modeling, and reporting automation strongly preferred (MMM, attribution modeling, machine learning/AI, CLTV analyses, PowerBI, etc) 

  • Significant experience working with marketing automation and orchestration platforms (Unica, Adobe Experience Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, etc) 

  • Experience buying media via social native platforms is required. Experience was using DSP is a plus. 

  • Experience developing omnichannel customer journeys and optimizing media placements over time. 

  • Strong team management and development skills  

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills 

  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment 

  • Experience working in regulated industries, ensuring ad creative is compliant with local and federal regulations and laws. 

  • Highly self-motivated, accountable, and flexible with an ability to drive timelines and manage competing agendas in an environment where process isn’t always defined. 

  • Innate leadership, influence management, negotiation and conflict resolution skills. 

  • Savvy, in-the-know leader on digital trends, technical requirements, digital innovation, and best practices.
