As a Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist, Technology within the Talent Management team, you will have an opportunity to attract, hire and retain the best employees, while growing a strong talent pipeline.  The Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist will collaborate with department managers of designated lines of business to fill current and future staffing needs.  This role will be responsible for design and implementation of the recruiting strategies within multiple lines of business channels/divisions.  The Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist actively supports, believes and embraces Mr. Coopers Core Values of Champion for our Customer, Challenger of Convention, and Cheerleaders for our Teams, as well as maintain standards, meet timelines, exude proactive abilities to work and continuously improve the recruiting process.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Line of Business Engagement

    • Establish and maintain a consultative partnership with the Line of Business by leading recruiting strategy meetings for each requisition or project

    • Develop and convey market intelligence for data driven recruiting decision making. 

    • Build and maintain a full understanding of business operations for the development and implementation recruiting strategies.  

    • Train hiring partners on appropriate company legal hiring/interviewing practices and procedures.

  • Utilization of Tools and Sources

    • Development of employer branded recruitment materials for placement to appropriate job board/newspapers/industry publications/colleges. 

    • Proactively source and recruit candidates from internal/external talent pool databases, social media, recruitment events and employee referrals. 

    • Utilize and train leaders on the appropriate interview & selection tools/method for meeting or exceeding Time to Hire, Time to Fill, and Offer Acceptance goals

    • Development of employer branded recruitment materials for placement to appropriate job board/newspapers/industry publications/colleges. 

  • Candidate Evaluation and Engagement

    • Screen and assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and aptitudes in alignment to the recruiting strategy and hiring goals

    • Engage as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships and experiences during the selection process

  • Administration and Compliance

    • Lead special projects associated with recruitment, performance improvement initiatives, system enhancements, conversions, or implementations, and other applicable talent related projects.

    • Maintain knowledge and adhere to compliance requirements for OFCCP, SOX and other regulations as appropriate. 

    • Develop and maintain metrics and reports; assure the integrity, timeliness and maintenance of data

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business, psychology or associated area of study

  • 4-6 years of recruiting experience (either an in-house recruiter or a staffing agency recruiter)

  • Act as a mentor for Talent Acquisition Specialist I and II team members

  • Company-related systems experience preferred; Financial services or mortgage industry experience is preferred

  • Ability to work with managers and subject matter experts to design and implement a recruiting strategy with minimal supervision

  • Interpersonal, verbal, written, and listening skills

  • Proven experience with HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Candidate Management Systems (CMS), recruiting software, Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) or Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS), as well as Microsoft Office Suite

  • Assist in training new team members on policies, procedures and systems

  • Solid ability to develop, implement and conduct multiple interview methods, such as behavioral, video, case study, or competency-based conduct

  • Strong decision-making skills

Summary

Responsible for developing, implementing and administering recruitment programs. Develops strategies using various sourcing techniques, qualifies and interviews candidates and confers job offers. Establishes relationships with outside sources - ad agencies, placement firms, etc. and ensures a reliable pipeline of qualified candidates is maintained. Develops and manages internal job transfer systems. Conducts background and reference checks, prepares documentation & reports and maintains candidate evaluation tools. Makes recommendations to hiring managers on competitive compensation packages and facilitates negotiations. May act as a liaison to immigration attorneys. May have responsibility for EEO planning and reporting, staffing strategy and manpower planning, development and upgrades to applicant tracking systems and college recruitment and internship programs.
