Responsible for data and analytical support within Enterprise Risk Management, which ultimately supports Risk & Compliance for the company. Advanced problem solving skills and hands on technical skills required as it relates to data retrieval, manipulation and summarization. Provide support for Model Governance, risk reporting, ad hoc requests, and external regulatory requests. Prior experience in supporting reporting and analytics is important, additionally, critical thinking and ability to research and resolve issues independently is essential.  Provide one stop solution for all reporting and analytical needs of the ERM team. Should have strong knowledge of various Mortgage Servicing areas - Loss Mitigation, Foreclosure, Call Center, Claims, Escrow, Loan Administration and others.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Build and maintain Key Risk Indicator reports for Mr Cooper’s Xome business in order to minimize risk around REO/Exchange, Valuations & Field Services, and Data Services.
  • Provide support to Model Governance, which oversees all of the models that are utilized within the company. Responsibilities might include assisting with model validations, model research, model data replication, and model risk reporting.
  • Update Monthly Portfolio Stratification report and continue to enhance and automate process.
  • Complete Ad Hoc data analysis/validation requests to help business partners with State AG, MMC, CFPB and other external requlatory requirements as well as data analytics within Enterprise Risk Management
  • Continue to develop risk reporting around Portfolio Fluctuation, Originations Study, and Recapture trends.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Graduation from a 4-year college or university with major course work in a discipline related to the requirements of the position is preferred. Will consider the equivalent combination of job experience & education that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Prefer background in Mortgage Industry
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, Word, Power Point
  • Experience in LSAMS or related mortgage servicing platform is a plus
  • 3 years related mortgage servicing experience

Summary

Responsible for working with the Default Management , Asset Performance servicing, outsourcing vendors , IT and accounting departments to produce Asset Performance and Default Management management reporting and system enhancements for the Collections, Loss Mitigation, Foreclosure, P&P and Bankruptcy areas. Develop detailed FHA/VA/Freddie Mac/Fannie Mae/Special Servicing and Private Securities procedures for these areas utilizing existing servicing requirements and guidelines and update procedures as new bulletins and regulations are released. Additionally, assist in the monitoring of Collections, Loss Mitigation, Foreclosure, P&P and Bankruptcy activities throughout the monthly to ensure compliance with FHA/VA/Freddie Mac/Fannie Mae/Special Servicing and Private Securities guidelines.
