The Principal Product Manager will be responsible for working with business and technology partners to analyze, design, implement, and support content and feature enhancements on the Mr. Cooper website necessary to achieve KPI targets and support evolving business needs.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling and conducting requirements gathering discussions with business and technical stakeholders and identifying ‘goals’ rather than ‘requested solutions’

  • Creating functional specifications, diagrams, use cases and other documentation as required to communicate the full scope of necessary enhancements

  • Authoring Agile User Stories in the Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) system

  • Collaborating with Design & Copy Writing teams to produce highly intuitive user experience designs

  • Conducting Legal & Regulatory Compliance reviews and collaborating on achieving compliance

  • Attending and conducting Agile rituals with product, design, development, & QA teams

  • Working with cross-functional teams on detailed user experience, schedules, and delivery

  • Performing post release validation testing to ensure successful launches

  • Analyzing customer account and behavior trends to identify opportunities for improvement

  • Preparing Pivot Tables & Graphs as needed to effectively communicate research findings

  • Creating and giving insight & recommendation presentations to the executive team

  • Collaborating with fellow product managers to:

    • Ensure all new work comes through the stack rank process

    • Groom the User Story Backlog in the Application Lifecycle Management system

    • Prepare and publish weekly executive status report

    • Notify business stakeholders as new features and enhancements launch

  • Scheduling flexibility due to extensive collaboration with offshore teams.

Additional Responsibilities may include:

  • Designing and creating A/B tests using Google Optimize

  • Performing competitive analysis

  • Working with vendors to plan & execute enhancements as well as report on performance

  • Developing detailed reporting requirements capable of effectively measuring the performance of all enhancements

  • Supporting the design and execution of usability studies

  • Additional projects as needed

  • You are comfortable working in a highly regulated industry and are prepared to do the necessary work to meet legal and compliance requirements without compromising customer experience.  

  • You are able to prioritize work and effectively manage to deadline


 

Core Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred

  • 3+ years in a Product Manager / Agile Product Owner role

  • 3+ years in an agile software development environment

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, & Power Point

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Excellent communication; able to effectively collaborate with a wide range of personalities

  • Passion for best-in-class user experience and KPI achievement

  • Outstanding track record of delivering high-quality solutions on time

  • Meticulous and detail-oriented, ensuring on each project that stakeholders are aligned, delivery processes are followed, & compliance and branding standards are met

Preferred Requirements:

  • Professional experience in real estate, mortgage, or financial sectors

  • 1-2 years of experience using Google Analytics

  • 1-2 years of experience creating SQL queries

  • Experience managing Trello boards and plugins

  • Experience creating Zapier integrations

  • Experience creating Forms on Type Form

  • Experience with digital heatmap tools such as Hot Jar

  • Experience using Google Data Studio

  • Experience using ALM tools such as Jira, Pivotal, MS VSTS
