The CMOD Reconciliation Analyst I is responsible for researching and identifying issues and outages pertaining to modifications and other associated business areas such as Investor Reporting, Accounting, Acquisitions, Modifications, Claims and Account Services. This role will involve communicating to various career levels of peers and leaders. This candidate will work with a team as well as independently, multi-task and demonstrate flexibility in a dynamic environment that promotes individual and company growth.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Communicate effectively with management, internal/external customers, including other associated business partners
  • Provide timely updates for projects and routine tasks.
  • Research and analyze cash/non-cash transactions for outages in custodial accounts, GLs, and other applicable sources of record
  • Continuously review processes and procedures and recommend new ones to management and other departments within the company to improve productivity and quality.
  • Prepare and submit account balance adjustments, cash wires and GL entries as needed
  • Run Access and/or SQL queries and perform basic Excel functions to analyze data.
  • Assigned to FNMA or FHLMC portfolio.
  • Manage special projects and other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Modification and research experience in the mortgage industry is require
  • Knowledge of Freddie Mac requirements and regulations is highly preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office is required

Summary

The Investor Services Department is responsible for the assigned monthly reporting, remitting, and reconciling for investors which could include FNMA, FHLMC, GNMA, Private Securities or Special Servicing, This includes functions related to loan acquisitions, services releases, corporate and P&I Advance analysis, as well as timely and accurate completion of assigned special projects. Specialists are responsible for performing reconciliations and reporting to Trustees/Master Servicers, in accordance with the terms of the servicing contracts.
