The Bankruptcy & Mediation Intern will join a team that provides a unique experience with emphasis on career/leadership development and direct business experience within mortgage servicing. This is a team that believes in “Working hard and Playing hard” as we put our Company Values into action. The skills taken from this internship should transfer to any future role and industry. The successful candidate will be exposed to multiple facets of the company and work completed at multiple levels across the organization. The Bankruptcy & Mediation Team is responsible for conducting day to day operations in assigned area(s) of focus in the loan servicing cycle related to bankruptcy administration and oversees the entire bankruptcy process when customer files bankruptcy. Works with vendors to complete the bankruptcy process, while ensuring compliance with regulatory entities, statutory requirements, investor and insurance guidelines, and vendor adherence to contractual terms. This position ensures the performance of all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates. 


Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Complete basic training and understanding of mortgage servicing, bankruptcy processing, and mediation and litigation witness 

  • Attend regular meetings with our investors and professional partners 

  • Attend routine team meetings to learn team communication & strategic planning 

  • Responsible for daily summary of tasks completed and professional observations 

  • Exposure to the litigation preparation and court room appearance 

  • Other duties as assigned based off interests and skills  


Basic Qualifications 

  • Enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university or have graduated within one year of start date (June 2022)  

  • Majoring in Business, Communications, Pre-Law, or related degree 

  • Intermediate experience with MS Office (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel) 

  • Candidates must have authorization to work permanently in the US without the need for sponsorship (Currently, our organization is unable to support candidates that are on OPT, CPT or candidates that will need sponsorship, now or in the future)
