Mr. Cooper is looking for an exceptional Sales Recruiter to join the Originations recruiting team.  The Sales Recruiter will provide recruiting and consulting services to support the business needs. This person will utilize proactive recruiting techniques and develop industry contacts to hire qualified and talented individuals who mirror Mr. Cooper’s culture and brand, selecting individuals who will provide added value to the department, business line and company. The ideal candidate for this role thinks outside the box to deliver radical results.


  • Works closely with external and internal candidate’s and ensure an outstanding candidate experience
  • Advises hiring managers on appropriate company legal hiring/interviewing practices and procedures.
  • Recruits, develops sources, and executes recruitment strategies, market and sell the company's attributes.
  • Participates in special projects associated with recruitment, performance improvement initiatives, system enhancements, conversions, or implementations, and other applicable Recruitment projects.
  • Recruiters work closely with managers to clarify job specifications and requirements, discuss business operations and develop recruiting strategies to fill current and future staffing needs.
  • Recruiters advise hiring managers on appropriate company legal hiring/interviewing practices and procedures.


  • Minimum 2+ years experience in Recruiting for a high volume fast-paced environment in the mortgage industry
  • Minimum 2+ years mortgage sales or mortgage operations Recruiting
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field with major course work in a discipline related and/or equivalent combination of work experience and education.
  • Ability to work individually, with recruiting team, business HR and functional HR to design, schedule, implement, and evaluate recruitment initiatives and tools with minimal supervision.
  • Attention to detail for reporting development and analytics.
  • Skilled at establishing relationships to effectively interact with all levels within an organization
  • Proficient in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) tools, Workday a plus but not required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Mortgage or financial services experience preferred
