This role is responsible for supporting Mr Cooper’s Technology department, related to P&L performance through both results reporting as well as forecasting future expectations. 

Assists senior leadership in Financial Analysis in the development and preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual operating budgets and financial reports.  Analyzes, evaluates, and develops forecasting models and identifies to management potential areas of opportunities and risks.  Reviews financials for unusual variances and provides recommendations or explanations.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Areas of responsibility shall include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Key contributor in reporting and forecasting activity for Mr. Cooper Technology Department.
  • This role will involve high levels of communication across various segment of Technology, to effectively and accurately report variances to budget.
  • This role will be a critical thought architect on evaluating future expense opportunities and risk. 
  • Key business planning partner that will work directly with various Technology teams, to continue best in class support for expense reporting, accrual tracking, staff reconciliation, etc.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • The role requires advanced technical knowledge of Excel, TM1, in addition to solid analytical thinking abilities.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting is required

  • 2-5 years Financial Analysis experience

  • Will consider recent college graduate; internship experience in Finance or Accounting preferred
  • Strong Excel skills including financial modeling, pivot tables, etc.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
