Sr. Analyst (Data Analytics), Enterprise Risk Management

The Sr. Analyst (Data Analytics) will develop analytics for monitoring risk attributes and performance trends, and communicate in a timely manner to senior management. This role will be responsible for performing data analytics cover a variety of compliance, operational and enterprise risk objectives. This position will lead the evaluation of key risks to determine risk exposure.

This person will also deliver outstanding services to business partners and act as a leading member of the company’s team of enterprise risk management professionals.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Work with Senior Management to develop and monitor Key Risks across enterprise
  • Design and perform analysis for risk appetite metrics and build thresholds for monitoring 
  • Develop data analytics to bring business insights for emerging risks and long term impacts
  • Develop remediation validation analysis to evaluate the design and effectiveness of a given process.
  • Identify reporting opportunities that will help in consolidations of various reporting across risk and compliance teams
  • Lead/Work on large projects that will improve the businesses ability to manage their department and create efficiencies through better reporting and management visibility into current processes.
  • Create dashboards that provide aggregate information regarding departmental operations, perform ad hoc analysis to identify potential issues
  • Data mine a large population of data to help identify relevant information and build scripts to consolidate reporting elements.
  • Assist in training the Junior Analysts in the team
  • Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Graduation from a 4-year course work and 5+ years’ experience is preferred. Will consider the equivalent combination of job experience & education.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Power Point etc.) and strong data skills are required.
  • Proficiency with MS SQL Server or equivalent SQL language to perform data mining, data manipulation, and reconciliation is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of SAS data mining and manipulation is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products and Power BI / Tableau

Responsible for data and analytical support, working with various business units to develop and produce periodic Enterprise Risk Appetite Framework reporting. Tasked with the enhancement of dashboard reporting for the quantification and monitoring of Capital & Liquidity, Compliance & Legal, Credit, Information Security, Market, Operational, Reputation and Strategic Risk dimensions. Supporting the Risk Appetite Framework program for senior leadership, board of directors and the company.
