The VP Human Resources is responsible for the smooth and profitable operation of Xome's human resources department. The VP Human Resources supervises and provides consultation to management on strategic staffing plans, like compensation, benefits, training and development, budget, labor relations, etc.


  • As a member of the executive team, contribute to company-wide strategy formation, drive decision-making, and represent the voice of the employee.

  • Create a comprehensive people strategy that aligns and supports Xome’s long-term vision and goals; ensure peer executives understand and buy into overall direction.

  • Engage as an advisor to the CEO and executive team on innovative approaches and trends in leadership, high performance cultures, engagement and connectivity, org design models and diversity, equity & inclusion.

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition team to develop a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy, inclusive of a strong employee value proposition that solidifies Xome as the employer of choice.

  • Deliver a total rewards framework (compensation, benefits, intrinsic rewards) that is competitive, compelling, and align to a performance driven philosophy.

  • Partner with the L&D team to develop high potential leaders and build career enrichment programs to create industry leaders of tomorrow.

  • Lead the engagement strategy that supports Xome’s culture and addresses key motivational drivers of the modern workplace; lead survey and feedback sessions to measure results as well as compete in the market for Great Place to Work designations.

  • Lead performance management practices that are practical, unlock potential, respect diversity, and lead to effective talent decisions and succession placements in key leadership roles.

  • Engage as an executive coach and mentor for talent within the organization.

  • Lead and/or support the company’s M&A efforts from due diligence to integration and change management.

  • Develop, measure and publish quantitative and qualitative success metrics that provides data-driven insights into effectiveness and sustainability of HR and DE&I programs.

  • Leadership skills: HR executive with proven experience, maturity, self-confidence, and executive presence.  A decisive leader who can create, influence, inspire and excel in a team-oriented environment. The ability to quickly forge strong sustainable relationships with both the business and support teams. Strong management skills, including the development of successors and bench strength, are required.

  • Culture & Relationship Builder: A proven leader who has a maniacal focus on the employee experience and culture at Xome.  A relationship builder at heart, this leader will work diligently to preserve and nurture relationships, grow the funnel of external talent relationships, and work with internal & external partners to deliver exceptional value.

  • Business perspective: While HR capability is important, the HR leader must also bring a strategic business perspective to anticipate key marketplace trends, opportunities and vulnerabilities. He/she must establish a deep understanding of the company’s operations, financials, and business processes so the people processes and solutions are tightly connected to business success and outcomes.

  • Strong multi-solution execution: Experience growing a highly effective multi-solution HR organization that operates efficiently as one unit to achieve performance goals. Drives flawless execution of the strategic priorities as well as continuous improvement initiatives, and the management of critical projects and programs. It is essential for the HR leader to be trusted to personally solve problems and take decisive action to rectify issues or establish a new course of action. Well organized and rigorous in prioritization of initiatives and projects. Must have a track record in leading cross-functional teams that allows individuals to execute to the company’s long-term strategy.

Position Requirements

  • More than ten years of progressive experience in leading an HR function with recent experience in implementing an HRIS system, led M&A effort, and/or executed large HR program.

  • Ideal work experience would be in a combination of company sizes and revenue as to bring broad perspective and know-how into a high growth environment.

  • A leader who is passionate about the employee experience with proven know-how to cultivate and nurture a diverse, global workforce.

  • A deep knowledge of all functional areas within HR, inclusive of recruiting, compensation, benefits, leadership development, change management, business partners, and HRIS systems.

  • A strategic thinker who is well respected for his/her knowledge and the ability to see the big picture. Must know how to leverage business opportunities by implementing current and emerging HR solutions.

  • Establish and maintain excellent relationships with C-level executives, team members, and partners.

  • A track record for leveraging data and analytics to prove value and accountability in people initiatives.
