JOB SUMMARY

The AVP of Strategic Planning/Investor Relations works on a diverse set of high-profile projects for the Company’s senior leadership (CEO, President, CFO) and Board, including strategic planning analyses, scenario projections, competitor deep dives, M&A modeling, and Investor Relations materials.  
 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for developing, maintaining, updating, and communicating the results of the Company’s multi-scenario long-term strategic projection model

  • Conducts competitor deep dives based on public and other information

  • Builds models, analyzes data, and prepares presentation decks in support of a wide variety of scheduled and ad hoc strategic planning projects

  • Prepares analysis and presentation materials for investor outreach activities

  • Participates in the planning and execution of the quarterly earnings reporting cycle and other investor outreach tasks

  • This role has the potential to oversee assigned staff including colleagues located in India.  Responsibilities may include recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning workload, planning, monitoring, appraising job results, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree required. MBA or CFA preferred.

  • Minimum 7+ years of relevant work experience to include demonstrated success in investment banking, consulting, accounting, or corporate finance.

  • Demonstrated financial literacy, including knowledge of accounting principles, financial disclosures, projections, M&A analysis, equity valuation

  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills are required.

  • Attention to detail – Ability to thoroughly vet his/her own work and that of others

  • Dedication – Ability to work under pressure and deliver accurate results on schedule

  • Creativity – Ability to undertake projects in a very wide variety of subject areas, involving all the company’s segments and business functions, macro-economic and demographic drivers, and competitor business models

  • Adaptability - Ability to manage many complex projects simultaneously in a team environment.

  • Relationship/Interpersonal Skills - demonstrated ability to build relationships and to work effectively with people of diverse social, faith, economic, and racial/ethnic backgrounds.

  • Communication - Communicate clearly (written, verbal, and presentation), proactively, and concisely.

Summary

Manages relationships between the Corporation and the Company's shareholders. Ensures open, effective communication between the organization, financial institutions and shareholders. Ensures that all necessary securities documentation is readily available to current and potential investors. May assist in annual reports, various road show or trade events, shareholder meetings or press conferences.
