Mr.Cooper, is seeking an experienced Staff Appraiser to support the growing number of valuation products including a full line of Appraisal products and Value Reconciliations. The Staff Appraiser’s primary responsibilities will be reviewing Wholesale, Correspondent and Retail Appraisal products for superior quality, fielding phone calls and working with all business channels to achieve a high level of product quality. The Staff Appraiser will also be responsible for completing Value Reconciliations and training staff members on valuation techniques. The ideal candidate must be able to work in a team setting and meet daily service level agreements and turn times.

Core Requirements:

  • Current Residential Appraiser license with a minimum of 3 years of residential experience.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of appraisal concepts.
  • Ability to grasp new technology and computer applications quickly.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Comfortable working at a fast pace.
  • Ability to work overtime (OT) when needed.
  • Must be familiar with FNMA’s Collateral Underwriter system.
  • Three years experience with Origination loans and Servicing transactions, such as Short Sales and REO Properties.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Appraisal license
  • Appraisal review experience
  • National review experience
  • Secondary market or portfolio evaluation experience
  • Must be a licensed appraiser in multiple states, preferably California and Texas.
