The Originations Operations Team has different positions to offer from the beginning process of the loan to funding the loan. Our Loan Processors work with all departments including third party vendors as well as managing loan cycles from beginning to end. Our Underwriters identify quality concerns and communicate decisions. Our funders confirm loan information is accurate to initiate loan funding process. Our operations teams work in fast-paced environments, so these positions require a candidate to be detail oriented and highly motivated.
Sales at Mr. Cooper covers a wide range of positions and experience levels all of which have a rewarding pay structure. Our Home Advisors are typically new to the industry and are either looking to get into sales or have prior sales experience but are not licensed as Mortgage Loan Originators when they are hired. Our Mortgage Professionals are licensed loan officers with industry experience looking to join a company that is changing the industry. Our correspondence teams purchase mortgage loans originated from banks, financial services firms and institutions nationwide.

As a Mortgage Underwriter (which could arguably be the most important person in the mortgage loan process) you ensure the loan fits investor guidelines, state and federal regulations while offering innovative solutions and problem solving skills throughout the entire mortgage process to ensure the our customer receives a best in class experience. Mr. Cooper also believes in order to bring in the top talent, we must also offer a great compensation package. We have one of the best in the market.
Responsible for processing full cycle loans from beginning to end to ensure the loan stays on track for closing. Working with borrowers and third-party vendors to obtain title, flood insurance, ordering appraisals of the home as well as additional information or documentation that is needed during the process. This team also submits loan application files to underwriting for approval. Since processors work with all departments that are apart of the loan process, they are typically the main point of contact for the borrowers, ensuring the best customer service.
Being a part of the financial industry, they primarily set rates for the Originations channels. Capital Markets mitigates the rate risk on the locked pipeline, selling funded loans into the secondary market and facilitating trades from our Correspondent Leaders. The team also builds and maintain relationships with investors and MI Companies, which helps build out new mortgage products.
